Scoon Cordless Table Lamp, Coconut

Scoon is the most practical lamp in the cordless range and the easiest to place. The compact form and neutral coconut finish mean it can sit on a desk, a bedside table, a kitchen shelf or a bathroom counter without announcing itself, and the absence of a cable removes the usual argument about where the nearest socket happens to be.

It works particularly well as a desk lamp in a home office, where a trailing lead across a work surface is a genuine nuisance and sockets are usually already occupied by a laptop and a monitor. Set at the corner of a desk it gives a warm pool of light for reading and writing that a bright overhead fitting cannot replicate, and it lifts away when the desk is needed for something else.

The coconut finish is warm and matt rather than glossy, so it does not throw reflections back at the person sitting in front of it and it hides fingerprints better than a polished metal body would. Charge between uses with the supplied connection rather than a substitute adaptor, and keep the lamp back from the working edge of a desk where it is easiest to knock. Returned to its base overnight, it is ready for the next working day.
