Mini Trindle Cordless Brass Table Lamp

The Mini Trindle is a cordless table lamp in solid brass, and the absence of a cable changes where a lamp can go entirely. A dining table, a bathroom shelf, a windowsill, a garden table on a summer evening: all of these are places a conventional lamp cannot reach without a trailing lead. The lamp charges when it is not in use and simply gets picked up and moved.

The scale is deliberately small. This is a lamp for a pool of light on a surface rather than a lamp to light a room, which is exactly what a laid table or a bedside shelf needs. The turned brass column has the weight and finish of a full-size fitting, so it holds its own as an object in daylight as well as after dark.

Brass develops a patina over time with handling, which is part of the material's appeal rather than a defect, and it can be left to age or polished back depending on preference. Because the lamp is cordless and portable, keep it clear of the edges of tables where it can be knocked, and charge it using the supplied connection rather than a substitute adaptor. Return it to its charging base at the end of the evening and it will be ready whenever the table is next laid.
